Now a days the hollywood seems to be doing the remake of the prequels of the original movies like The Amazing Spider Man and the Rise of the Planet Of the Apes. But it seems to be working for them as these movies are causing much anticipation and the eventually making good money. |
But I didn't had much hopes for this Rise of the Planet of the Apes as the name of the movie itself seems a bit odd for having two "of the" and I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it.
Saw this movie on the first day (Aug 5th) night show and its worth watching. I think everyone knew the story as the apes going to take over the planet and become the dominant species but the way the movie develops make you hooked to the story and you start to flow with it.
The buildup for each major event in this film was pretty good, but I kind of felt the ending is not so great. But you gotta wait for the credits to be satisfied (don't want to spoil the story), which opens the door for the sequel for this series of Planet of the Apes.
The animation is good which is as expected after the technological development from the movies like Avatar. The facial expressions and motion capture stuffs works great. All I can say is this is not a bad movie at all. My ratings: 7/10
