Finally the much awaited "Google Maps"app from Google for iOS is available to download from Apple app store. Previouly Apple removed Google Maps as its default Map app in the latest release of iPhone5 and released Apples own maps app but one has to say things didn't go well as planned.
Apple's own Map had many glitches and eventually the CEO appologised for it and said they are on a huge plan to revise its Map apps.
In the mean time, Google did many changes to its Maps, with the updated maps for Europe for countries like Andorra, Bulgaria, Estonia, Gibraltar, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
Now Google boasts that the new app is sharper, loads quickly with its vector based map and smooth transition in tilting or rotating for 3D and 2D. They've also included voice-guide and turn by turn navigation to its latest release for iOS.And for public transportation, Google have updated its info on transit stops for more than 1Million stops.
To add to it, they've also introduced SDK for developers to embed Google maps in their apps for iOS. The new maps app is available for iOS 5.1 and higher and all the new features maynot be available in all countries.
